The group mooched about Dalesbury. Debbie spent the day in the B&B being domestic. Tyrone stalked the streets harassing people and apparently indicating that the groups arrival was a very bad thing for the town. O'Neal found work in the local mechanic shop. Peter made friends, influenced people, completely failed to watch Debbie taking a bath and followed up on his suspicions regarding the mayor. d'Artagnan took his pills and had a good long nap. And Jake was put to work in the mayor's gunnery.

The people of Dalesbury voted and decided the group could stay. Everyone had another nights uninterrupted sleep and woke the next day to discover that one of Hauser's men had vanished. An investigation revealed that he had left the doctor's office, claiming to feel better and then headed out of town. Tyrone, O'Neal and Jake joined up with a town patrol to search for him but found nothing. An annoying droning noise that Jake was complaining about turned out to be a column of troops and five Humvees.

The group check out the warehouse surrounded by zombies and Courtney insists on a multi-stage plan. The group talk it through and O'Neal comes up with the idea of using a firetruck to extract the civilians from the roof of the warehouse and a container truck to remove them from the scene. Jake knows the area well and easily finds both a fire station and a trucking company. The group loots the fire station taking clothes, axes, radios, batteries, water and a truck. Leaving the trucking company, Peter drives the container truck and Jake has a little trouble with the fire truck. Arriving back at the warehouse d'Artagnan suggets covering up the windows of the trucks with chainlink but then hears gunshots from the warehouse. The group then notices the zombie horde surging forward seemingly into the warehouse. The group enact their plan.
Peter drives the firetruck into the horde, running over dozens and getting into position. Jake parks the container truck just behind. Courtney guides the ladder up to the roof and d'Artagnan and O'Neal swarm up. Looking down into the warehouse they see a bloodbath - hundreds of zombies are devouring anyone they can find. Ahab has Samantha over his shoulder and is making his way up the ladder while three soldiers and Timothy guard the base. Eleven more civilians make it to the top and are directed down to the trucks. d'Artagnan checks to see that that is all that is coming and sees more people inside trapped on warehouse shelving. O'Neal, d'Artagnan and one of the soldiers break through the roof and rescue nine more civilians.
Peter and Jake manage to reverse the trucks and everyone gets the hell out of Jacksonville. Forty minutes later on a westbound highway an Apache helicopter crashes onto the highway in front of the trucks. The resulting crash leaves fourteen people in the back of the container truck dead and the fire truck stuck in a ditch. As the group try and deal with the injured and dead they are approached by another horde. Suddenly, six utes arrive each carrying armed men. They dispatch the zombies and approach the group. A man introduces himself as John Lewis and invites the group back to his town: Dalesbury.
In Dalesbury all the injured are seen to by the town doctor, Jacob Lewis and everyone is checked for zombie bite. Doc Lewis is concerned about Hauser and O'Neal and orders them to report to him daily for checks. He declares that Samantha does indeed have the flu and treats her accordingly. He speaks to d'Artagnan about his medication and takes his shopping bag full of anti-psychotics away. While O'Neal and d'Artagnan wash off some of the gore, Courtney talks to John Lewis. John tells him that Jacob used to work for the government and foresaw the current apocalypse. When no-one believed him he moved to Dalesbury with his brother. When the apocalypse came the brothers reacted quickly and secured the town. John indicates that if the group has useful skills they'll be invited to join the town. The group are then taken to a B&B, where they are each given their own rooms and sleep.

While completing their looting of the Costco, the group were attacked by armed raiders. Though the raiders were fought off with ease dozens of sprinters were attracted to the noise and almost overran the group. Hauser managed to secure a ute and extract everyone.
Travelling back to the warehouse the group found it surrounded by hundreds of zombies...
