The group woke after a decent days rest. The town was dark and quiet and Jake went to investigate. He met two guys who told him most people were up at The Front and the lights were all off in the hope that some zombies might pass the town by. There was then a scream and Jake investigated, finding four sprinters devouring a man. Jake legged it back to the B&B, screamed a warning and then ran upstairs to pack. The sprinters made it into the house but were then dispatched by Jake and d'Artagnan. During the fight Timothy arrived and told Debbie and Peter that Samantha was missing. The Major and the Mayor arrived and dispatched men to check where the zombies had come in and to search for Samantha. d'Artagnan tracked the zombies back to the fence and Jake found evidence that they'd been let in. Meanwhile Peter and Debbie were searching the house where Samantha and Timothy had been staying and found a chloroform soaked rag. Joining the dots, the group headed to the doctors office. There they found the nurse, Jenny, with her throat cut. Debbie dispatched her, d'Artagnan found his anti-psychotics and the rest failed to find any evidence of chloroform related shenanigans. Mary-Lou went in search of O'Neal and found no sign.
Debbie and Jake decided that the most direct way to find Samantha was to beat the information out of the Mayor or one of his men. They went to the pub to start a fight but the mayor's men refused to rise to the bait. They recommend seeing the Sheriff to help look for Samantha and accompany the group to the Sheriff's office. When the Sheriff understands the situation he abuses the Mayor's men telling them he never agreed to children being taken. He's then shot in the chest. A fight starts between the group and the mayor's men but is very rapidly ended by Jake and d'Artagnan. Peter tries to help the Sheriff and the Sheriff tells him Samantha is being held in a warehouse outside Mayville then dies. Outside the group hears the beginning of the zombie attack and the town's response. Courtney immediately leaves for the front while the rest leave for Mayville.
On arriving at the warehouse, Jake bails out of the ute and takes up a covering position. Peter and Tyrone convince a group of guards outside that the attack has begun and they're needed back at town. One guard goes back into the warehouse but the rest leave. Tyrone and Peter are forced to follow them to keep up appearances. d'Artagnan, Mary Lou and Debbie find a way into the warehouse but are very rapidly taken prisoner.

Upon seeing the approaching horde, numbering in the thousands, the group begins to discuss plans. The soldiers call back to town and Morgan tells them to sit tight til he gets there. Viewing the horde Morgan believes that there is not enough time or vehicles to evacuate the town and that the best plan is to reinforce the town walls and fight it out. He asks the group to discuss this with the mayor as any suggestion of his would be dismissed out of hand. Everyone heads back to town.
They find the mayor and his brother eating dinner - burgers and chips, which no-one has seen in a while. Upon being informed the mayor sends his men to start preparations. He accepts the groups idea and agrees. He asks them to go with some of his men to the next town over, to a hardware supplies warehouse to get more building materials. The group agrees and heads out.
The town of Mayville clearly attempted a similar solution to Dalesbury - but with significantly less success. Corpses are piled up on the inside of a fence similar to Dalesbury's. There is a group of the mayor's men here at all times keeping watch on the hundreds of zombies held within the town's fences. They greet the group and tell them to be careful as the warehouse has never been properly cleared.
The group discovers a large nest of zombies inside the warehouse and dispose of them, losing two of the mayor's men in the process. They load up the trucks and head back to town. Their supplies are gratefully received. Courtney and Jake work on mining the field in front of the walls. Morgan tells the group to get some rest.

The group take the soldiers back to town and there is immediate tension. Mayor Lewis is clearly unhappy to have them around and demands they leave. After much shouting a peace is brokered and the troops are allowed to stay but only for 48 hours. Ahab sees the mayor and his men acting suspiciously and follows them. He overhears them discussing the issue with the soldiers arrival, mentioning that they've worked too hard to be discovered now and how no-one else is to be taken until the soldiers are gone. Ahab is busted listening in but manages to talk his way out of it.
Jake tries to find out what's really going on in town and after a while is approached by the wife of the previous mayor. She tells him that her husband was murdered by the mayor and his brother and then begs Jake to get her and her children out of town. Jake is then taken from her house and given a savage beating. Jake is saved by the town sheriff who backs up the story Jake has just heard but says he won't move against the mayor.
The group then discovers the newly arrived soldiers and the mayor's men at each others throats. Morgan has declared that his men will take over patrol duties and the mayor is resisting. Debbie intervenes and, for her troubles, is placed in charge of the nights patrol, comprising half mayor's men and half soldiers. During the patrol they are almost overrun a couple of times, mainly due to the squabbling between the two groups.
Nearing the main road back to Jacksonville the group spies a vast zombie horde heading towards town.

The group mooched about Dalesbury. Debbie spent the day in the B&B being domestic. Tyrone stalked the streets harassing people and apparently indicating that the groups arrival was a very bad thing for the town. O'Neal found work in the local mechanic shop. Peter made friends, influenced people, completely failed to watch Debbie taking a bath and followed up on his suspicions regarding the mayor. d'Artagnan took his pills and had a good long nap. And Jake was put to work in the mayor's gunnery.
The people of Dalesbury voted and decided the group could stay. Everyone had another nights uninterrupted sleep and woke the next day to discover that one of Hauser's men had vanished. An investigation revealed that he had left the doctor's office, claiming to feel better and then headed out of town. Tyrone, O'Neal and Jake joined up with a town patrol to search for him but found nothing. An annoying droning noise that Jake was complaining about turned out to be a column of troops and five Humvees.

The group check out the warehouse surrounded by zombies and Courtney insists on a multi-stage plan. The group talk it through and O'Neal comes up with the idea of using a firetruck to extract the civilians from the roof of the warehouse and a container truck to remove them from the scene. Jake knows the area well and easily finds both a fire station and a trucking company. The group loots the fire station taking clothes, axes, radios, batteries, water and a truck. Leaving the trucking company, Peter drives the container truck and Jake has a little trouble with the fire truck. Arriving back at the warehouse d'Artagnan suggets covering up the windows of the trucks with chainlink but then hears gunshots from the warehouse. The group then notices the zombie horde surging forward seemingly into the warehouse. The group enact their plan.
Peter drives the firetruck into the horde, running over dozens and getting into position. Jake parks the container truck just behind. Courtney guides the ladder up to the roof and d'Artagnan and O'Neal swarm up. Looking down into the warehouse they see a bloodbath - hundreds of zombies are devouring anyone they can find. Ahab has Samantha over his shoulder and is making his way up the ladder while three soldiers and Timothy guard the base. Eleven more civilians make it to the top and are directed down to the trucks. d'Artagnan checks to see that that is all that is coming and sees more people inside trapped on warehouse shelving. O'Neal, d'Artagnan and one of the soldiers break through the roof and rescue nine more civilians.
Peter and Jake manage to reverse the trucks and everyone gets the hell out of Jacksonville. Forty minutes later on a westbound highway an Apache helicopter crashes onto the highway in front of the trucks. The resulting crash leaves fourteen people in the back of the container truck dead and the fire truck stuck in a ditch. As the group try and deal with the injured and dead they are approached by another horde. Suddenly, six utes arrive each carrying armed men. They dispatch the zombies and approach the group. A man introduces himself as John Lewis and invites the group back to his town: Dalesbury.
In Dalesbury all the injured are seen to by the town doctor, Jacob Lewis and everyone is checked for zombie bite. Doc Lewis is concerned about Hauser and O'Neal and orders them to report to him daily for checks. He declares that Samantha does indeed have the flu and treats her accordingly. He speaks to d'Artagnan about his medication and takes his shopping bag full of anti-psychotics away. While O'Neal and d'Artagnan wash off some of the gore, Courtney talks to John Lewis. John tells him that Jacob used to work for the government and foresaw the current apocalypse. When no-one believed him he moved to Dalesbury with his brother. When the apocalypse came the brothers reacted quickly and secured the town. John indicates that if the group has useful skills they'll be invited to join the town. The group are then taken to a B&B, where they are each given their own rooms and sleep.

During a gunfight with an enemy they can't see, Debbie is hit and badly wounded. When they finally arrive the group finds the supermarket thoroughly looted and awash with zombies. During the fight to clean out the supermarket Matool is bitten. He turns not much later and is dispatched by O'Neal. Upon searching the market the group finds the anti-virals they were after and some food. While loading this into the truck Hauser is shot from behind.

The group spoke with Corporal Hauser. He had been in charge of 800 military staff around Jacksonville, including the safety camp and city control. He was no longer in contact with anyone higher up in the chain of command and had three men remaining. He informed the group of what he knew of the situation and asked them about their own adventures. The only thing that seemed to shock him was the information regarding the zombie baby.
Exhausted the group then went to sleep, except for Matool who investigated the roof, helped calm the mob of civilians, found some fruit juice and smoothed tensions between Hauser and Timothy. Hauser decided that the only way to be sure about Samantha's condition was to get her some anti-viral medication. Matool agreed and promised the groups help before finally getting some sleep.
Upon waking the rest of the group seemed significantly more difficult to convince than Matool. Hauser finally managed to procure the groups help by promising loot and indicating that something needed to be done about the number of zombies outside.
From the roof the group saw that there were less zombies around the back of the warehouse, near the loading dock. O'Neal came up with a plan to distract the zombies with the forklift, with the added bonus of blowing up the gas tank and taking a few zombies out. Courtney opened the loading dock door and the others took care of the few zombies hanging around as quietly as they could. The fork lift then successfully distracted some zombies and just as successfully blew some up.
Hauser and the group made their way into the city. They soon came across three soldiers trapped in the back of an army truck. Though the soldiers were surrounded by 30 zombies the group tried to help, distracting some of the zombies and finally finishing them off. Though all the soldiers were lost, the group scored themselves an army truck and four kevlar vests.

The RV is filled to capacity and after some tension between David and Timothy and some obstructions on the road, everyone makes it to the Rescue Centre. Unfortunately, Jacksonville is lost and the rescue centre has been overrun. Michael tries to reverse the RV but they are soon caught by fleeing civilians. Hundreds of people, desperate to escape, try to get aboard. Soon six soldiers drive people away from the RV with gunfire and get aboard themselves. They immediately demand that everyone drop their weapons and tell Michael to keep reversing. When he refuses they put a gun to his head. Everyone feels the RV occasionally run over civilians and Michael weeps.
Samantha suddenly appears from the rear bedroom and the soldiers, assuming she is a zombie, move to deal with her. Because of the crush of people in the RV only one soldier gets close and Peter executes him with a kitchen knife. Just before all hell breaks loose the RV is rammed by another vehicle and tips over.
Everyone hears the approach of faster moving zombies and the terror of the civilians outside. The group breaks and runs. O'Neal carries an unconscious Courtney. In their desperate flight Tommy and the baby he's carrying, Michael, Zachary, David and his sons and Joe Recht are all lost.
Tyrone makes his way to the safety of a nearby warehouse and shoots his way inside. The others follow. Numerous other civilians make their own way inside and hide. Hundreds of zombies moan and try to beat their way inside. The group checks the perimeter and Mary Lou gets a forklift to try and start barricading doors with pallets of food. While checking the other doors O'Neal and d'Artagnan meet another group of soldiers lead by Corporal Hauser.

The group meets another group of survivors. Father Raymond has gathered some locals, and one outsider, together in his church. They seem to have supplies but are trying to get transport together to get to Jacksonville. The two groups eat together and share information. When Michael learns the group has a vehicle large enough to get everyone to Jacksonville he offers spare parts in exchange for a lift.
At this point Monica Kadrey goes into labor. Father Raymond, Jean Brooks and Timothy Hickman leave to help with the birth. The group, especially Matool, takes the opportunity to investigate a suspiciously sick girl, but to the best of their ability to tell, she hasn't been bitten.
Dave Brewer and his gang then appears - demanding the PCs. He begins shooting up the church. Something then goes terribly wrong with the birth. Timothy Hickman appears covered in blood and incoherent. d'Artagnan investigates and finds Father Raymond gutted on his bedroom floor and Monica in a similar state on the bed. d'Artagnan passes out. Further investigation reveals Jean Brooks in a similar state in the bingo hall. Jean rises up and Courtney notices that there is something different about the way this zombie acts before putting it down with a well aimed AK round. The group finds itself trapped in the church with gun-toting bikers outside and a zombie baby inside.
The group defends itself from the baby and it is finally put down by Matool. At this point zombies arrive outside and the bikers leave, firebombing the church before they go. Michael and Zachary arrive in the RV, the group fights it's way to the vehicle and everyone escapes.
Michael knows where the Jacksonville safe zone is and heads towards it.
